Spectrum started in North Sydney in 1996 and is now located in St Leonards, New South Wales. We were the first business in Australia to deploy waterless printing and computer to plate technology. We are still the only dedicated waterless printer in NSW.
Spectrum Printing was the first business in Australia to be certified under "Good Environmental Choice Australia's" rigourous program and is still the only printing business in NSW to comply. Additionally, Spectrum printing has been offsetting its carbon emmitions since 2004. We believe this is also a first.
We provide prepress, printing, storage and archiving services for a wide range of clients. We also offer consulting services for business's that are looking to bring environmental change to their organisation. This includes environmental initiatives and the measuring and offsetting of carbon footprints.
We specialise in four colour process and pantone colour printing. Some of our clients require a fast turnaround time, so we have extended opening times. Spectrum starts at 7.30 am and finishes the day at 11.00 pm.
Both prepress and the print area operates two shifts, this allows customers to approve jobs, attend press checks or liase with our staff out of normal office hours. Also, with the latest in technology in our prepress area including full ctp, digital proofing, clients are also able to download large amounts of information 24 hours a day. Additionally via our web portal clients can take advantage of full online ordering, job building , proofing and asset management. All from the comfort of their desk.
We have one of the largest digital print set ups in NSW. Spectrum Printing has several high volume black and white\w printers as well as two high end Cannon 7000 image presses. These machines print offset quality in low runs. Additionally, variable data and mailing projects can be processed.
In the offset area Spectrum Printing has two five colour Heidelberg presses and one Komori six colour press. All this press power is complimented by a fully equipped bindery including diecutting, folding, cutting, drilling and booklet making.
Spectrum has also begun trials on a "revolutionary new time machine". This will be introduced to satisfy the needs of those customers who really wanted their print job yesterday. We will keep you posted with any developments.
